Recovery Running
Been taking it pretty easy since Melbourne ...
Week 1
Mon - rest
Tues, Wed and Thurs - walked a lap of the bay
Fri - easy 5k
Sat - rest
Sun - 11k at Lane Cove while Striders Internal Half was going on.
16k for the week.
Week 2
Mon - 2 easy laps of the bay (14k). Was ready to pull up after the first but bumped into Linda and so ran a couple more kms with her then kept on going.
Tues - rest
Wed - my final LKL before heading home :( Shame that neither Karin nor Eagle could make it, so it was just JD and I. 15k averaging slightly under 5min kms.
Thurs - rest
Fri - rest
Sat - 17k av 5:09 pace with the usual Brissie suspects.
46k for the week.
Off to Noosa in the morn for a holiday to get over my holiday so the bludging will likely continue for another week or so :)

you home?
welcome back!!
It's a toss up who knows how to enjoy themselves more you or Lulu.
I reckon you two could run apprenticeships on the "good life"!
Anyways glad you're back! Steve from Tokyo hasn't stopped talking about how you left Clairie in her great time of need! Maybe now he can get back to concerns closer to home ;)
It's all lies. Geez, some people know how to pile it on ;-)
But I do hear that Clairie is desperately in need of a good punch in the guts, so get in there and help shift that watermelon!
Nice recovering, by the way!
I'm a firm believer in the idea of a post-holiday-holiday.
Sorry we didn't get another chance to catch up before you headed home. Look after Clairie - you know she's deliberately holding on to that baby until you get there !
did somebody say Noosa? That shouldn't cost you much at this time of year?! sounds like a sneaky illegal entry to some events there might happen huh? i won't tell.
62k in two weeks! Aren't you worried about forgetting how to run?
Nudge Clairie for some baby photos - and give her a punch in the guts for me (after Wednesday).
One holiday after the other! What a life.....enjoy it, Tess!
Welcome back Aunty Tesso.
Is it short service leave at Noosa?
I wonder what the difference is between a good punch to the guts and a bad one? Funny there was none of this punch talk while you were away.
A real tough life you have there Tesso....
Hehehe work is going to hurt :-)
I hope you're having a good time in Noosa and are enjoying a few light weeks of running. No doubt you'll be back into some serious training soon.
Tessoooooo. I miss yoooooo. My son's moving from Bracken Ridge to somewhere called McDowell (I think) in December. Is that still near enough to the race course for me to run Doooooomben again next year?
I agree with the back to back holiday philosophy! way to go!
i'd be happy for you, but i'm a spiteful cow. going away again? pffft!
