PCRG - Hills
Yesterday at PCRG it was a hill session in The Gardens. I had a bit of DOMS from Sunday's race (especially in my calf muscles) so started out steady. Nothing much hurt so just gradually increased the effort with each hill. And to make up for not going 100% on the ups I didn't back off on the downs.
After the final rep we all gathered at the top of the hill and Pat selected four people, including Julie, to do one last shorter rep. As they headed down he sneakily informed us it was Julie's birthday as so as she powered up the hill we formed a guard of honour and sang "Happy Birthday". Cute :-)

Happy birthday Julie.
Speedygeoff embarasses us with birthday announcements, but luckily no guard of honour. I hope he doesn't get any ideas.
i wanted to be there .... i wish i could .... instead i ran easy for 10K ... saw Nick who was late and might have had beans for dinner the night before .... YOU weren't around this morning .... cold, wet, sloshy, slog
before i read the prose, i thought that was a pic of some new torture Pat had dreamed up - running up hill but hunched over under low overhanging arms so one cannot breathe fully.
very very sneaky is he. my birthday wish is to run through a tunnel of armpits after a speed workout. some people get all the luck. my husband only gives me dogs.
As "ihatetoast" if running under a tunnel of sweaty armpits is considered a good B'day present I wonder what you guys do for Christmas?
Looks like you did it pretty tough on the half, well done for getting your goal time.
