Its A Fine Line ...

between pleasure ...

and pain ....

I think at Doomben on Sunday I crossed that fine line around the 18k mark :-)

Scott asked if there was any reason I did it so hard. I'm putting it down to a combination of no long runs, the fatigue from 90 mins of physio exercises, core work, stretching etc at the gym Saturday, and lack of iron in the diet of late (thanks for the reminder Clairie, I ate half a cow on Sunday night). But I reckon its mainly not doing those long runs.

Perhaps what I need is some performance enhancing drugs. Then again ....

Maybe you need the camera closer so you smile more.

Lack of long runs does make a difference, as I am learning at the moment!

Your form still looks pretty good (and you have a better tan).

Try chewing on one of Sergei's arms if you need a bit more iron.

Hi Tesso

I know that look, in the second photo, I get it a lot coming home, perhaps why I never buy any of those "marathon Pics" they take at the goal.

Actually I do have one with that same look and a couple of bleeding nipples, my wife took it at the end of my first marathon.

I only saw you in the happy parts Tesso! It was great to be sharing a race with you again. It was good to get my Tesso/Clairie fix.
