I knew I'd be hurting by this stage and may well be walking so had this song repeated four times on the iPod.

Can You Feel It - The Jackson Five

Thankfully I only got to listen to it twice.

That's some strange musical taste you have there Tesso!

I had the privilege? of a vocal trio accompanying me on the 5k with an extremely dodgy repertoire. It consisted of one line of a military marching chant followed by some inspired humming and some very obscure verses of "She'll be comin' 'round the mountain" that neither scanned nor rhymed.

Wouldn't have swapped it for the world though!

Chicken Dance is being performed now by the Queensland State of Origin team.

I liked Macarthur Park too.

Well Tesso it still looks like I will be running this Doomben half, and it is getting terribly close! Although I do feel crook for 6 days and great for 1. I don't care if I run 1:30, 1:50, or even 1:70 as long as it's not 2:something. I am so looking forward to meeting the CR enthusiasts. Turn on the cold weather please! Gosh there are some really old songs on your list. Are you sure you're not over the hill? Speedy Gonzales? Damn, I know it, and now I can't get it out of my head. "Good title but."

Lucky you, I had the same music for every race!! Got quite boring but I can't actually recall hearing anything in particular except when I was doing the half marathon and Kenny Rogers came on singing 'long arm of the law'.
Gave me quite a fright but turned out to be good - made me laugh anyhow.

That's a great song for the 1500m!!! Must remember to load that one up.

A real diverse mix there to help get you through Tesso.

Re subzero temps...it's ok, I meant yesterday when I did go for the run. I'm way too addicted to my program right now to let frozen fingers get in the way! :)

Like a bit of country eh. Have you ever seen the Topp Twins?

Re Toilet etiquette: if us blokes have to put the seat/lid up and then down, we bear the brunt of the germs. I suppose it serves us right for never cleaning the toilet.

So, where's the Simple Minds?

Good choice for the 1500 but it should've made you run faster!

I have been pretty busy this week being MR Mum and all the big footie games, so haven't had much time to catch up on things.

Certainly a nice diverse list of tracks. No Africian :-(.

All the girls do dance classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, song and dance ..... As a sport, dance is only second to America's Cup yatching in terms of expense. Ducky isn't in the performer's group so she doen't get to do the competitions. Dory had 12 routines to do and Delta seven this week.

On your comment that suburbian dogs forced us runners onto the main roads . On thinking about that is very true. I used to make a bee line for Gympie Road and run out to Chermside. Later when living in Tarragindi, it was Ipswich-Beaudesert Rd and it was to avoid the dogs.
