And the winner is ....

Cirque!!! Yep, my goal race is
Southern Highland's Pub To Pub 50k. I was contemplating the Sydney Marathon, but this sounds like way more fun.

Meanwhile you guys (er, except for Robert Song and his nudey run suggestion) have given me some great ideas. I think some of we Brissos should put our heads together and talk about what Superflake said How about Milton to Beenleigh. Start with a beer and finish with a rum!

Anyway, I managed to notch up a huge 8k this morning, with only a few hundred meters of walking in there. My knee still hurt, fortunately no more than Thursday's run but unfortunately no less. One thing I did find was going slower on purpose wasn't good for it, a 'natural' pace felt better.

There was quite a turn up at The Regatta this morning, seems everyone is easing themselves back into it after the Canberra and Brisbane events. And there was lots of talk about Warwick next weekend. Even though its going to hurt and I'll do a massive PW, I'm excited!

Hang in there Tesso - the knee will get better - just don't punish it too much at Warwick!

Rejection is such a bitter pill. I dont think I could write a more enticing description of Ohtawara Tess, so I'll have to assume you like Fat Asses better than nubile young Japanese boys and girls gamboling in the outdoor hot springs. Oh well...

Great news, Tess! 8km means you're on your way!

Had to laugh at your comment about still reading the cover of your Pilates tape!!! Those workouts will make you more nimble & agile for the Southern Highlands Pub to Pub! Get into it!!

Great to see Pub to Pub the Southern route. Actually Milton to Beenleigh the direct route is 36.85ks. A bit short for an ultra. I guess if you had to find paths to run on and didn't do it direct then you could get to the ultra distance.

Sounds like a good downhill course Tesso. 50k would be a mere sprint for you. Well done on the huge 8k - these days that is my long run.

Enjoy Warwick!

Good luck on the continued recovery; you might like to try some of Wendall Sailor's drugs next.

BTW, 1/2 marathon pb is 87.30, drug free.

If the knee hurts when slow running, why not just run fast all the time.

Re. the sculpture. Head due south.

Re. bananas. Thinking longingly about bananas now. Might have to get some ladyfingers if they are cheaper down here. I've never tried cavendish bananas.

There's something about adding "pub to pub" to an event's name that adds a nice touch, doesn't it ;)
Great choice!
