Monday Music - 12th March 2007

Heywood Banks - Yeah Toast

I downloaded this song some time ago. It was on my playlist for my run this morning and I decided that it was so good I just had to share it. Funny, it reminds me of someone I know .... but I just can't think who it is ;-)

The song itself was recorded live on some comedy show, hence the (slightly annoying) laughing in the background. Seems like lots of people have made videos to go with it. It was a hard job choosing one.

See you in Canberra!

Looks like the ankle is well on the mend without too much of a hitch in the Canberra training. Keep up the solidd training.

Toast is just such an all-encompassing subject isn't it.

So apparently you can even sing about toast!

it's only fair if you find one for Mrs Toast that counters this one.

That cartoon character reminded me of one of the great novelty songs of the 70's: "Troglodyte" by the Jimmy Castor Bunch (featuring vocal by Bertha Butt)...

Great weekend of 50k, with a solid "easy" 10k follow up.

I'm thinking of trying the CR 5k time trial. If it's where I think it is, it's nice and flat so could be a chance of 22:30 min (and good training for my famous Roxborough Park t/t)...

You're right it does sort of remind me of someone but can't quite put my finger on it!

Thanks for your comments, its really appreciated. I'm feeling very tired and still quite sore from Saturday's run. However I'm not even considering running again before this saturday so it is a nice break. Had a massage today - my that was good...painful but good!

Take care and hope the training is going well and there have been no more scares!

I kept visualising a cringing Katy. Not pretty.

You dropped out of my bloglines some weeks back and interesting to see that others are having the same problem.

A new problem has emerged for me in that all of your Monday Music posts just have a blank space where there art thou should be music. What gives!

So not hearing much at present and not being reminded of anyone in particular that I can put my finger on!

Not long to go now Tesso and good luck for the final phase of your training. Taper soon - your foot should be pleased.
