Less than 3 weeks to go now, it sure was good to get that last long run done. I was down the coast so had to run it on my own which was kind of good as I wanted to go a bit slower, the previous Saturday really took it out of me. As it turned out it wasn't as pedestrian as it felt, suppose that's a good sign.

I still haven't come up with a race plan for Canberra, I might wait another week or so and see how the speed sessions and monthly TT go before deciding on a goal.

You are a machine Tesso!!!

So proud of you. Thanks for dragging me out of my bed to have breaky with you on Saturdays...despite the fact that I need to run/walk for 2 hours beforehand I really enjoy it!

It was great to be at PCRG with you again and even though I am not yet able to run WITH you, it is great just to be there and see you whiz past.

I'm thinking you need to go for it at Canberra. Interpret that how you will.....but don't hold anything back. Do us proud!!!

How about this for a race plan Tesso. Do a "Matty" for the first 25k and a "Tesso" for the last 25K.

Tesso, if you had Matty's muscles ASADA would be after you. Then again, they could still be if you break 4 hours for the 50k :)

This seems like one of your best ever preparations - I'm sure you'll do well.

Try not to go crazy during the taper. Leave the unfinished easter chocolate and XXXXs until after the marathon :)

You keep racking up the Ks and the quality which is really impressive.

Don't let taper madness get to you as you have already done all the hard work.

I'll be eating your dust in Canberra.

Mmmm, the taper, such a great excuse to be lazy!

I can't believe the quality k's you've put in Tesso. Can't wait to see you at the finish of the 50 k (cause I'll be well and truly rested by then!).

I can imagine your 'taper time' rather than 100+ km weeks, you'll reduce it to 90 km weeks.

I'm guessing, but I reckon you would have over a 1000 k's for the year now.

I'm really getting excited about Canberra. It's going to be huge - and you're up for a big one!

By the way, I saw Ray Davies from the Kinks the other night, and out the front Des and I bumped into Darren Hanlon. He asked us how we were going, told us what he was up to etc. Very cool.

Nice set of numbers there Tesso. You look to be in great shape. Wishing you all the very best for the final couple of weeks and the race. If I could suggest one thing about race strategy, just make sure you keep yourself in good shape to 40 km, then let fly. In other words, start conservatively and hold it. Let em have it at the end. Translate that into numbers as you will.
