Annual Plu Run

Plu is on hols at Main Beach. He was up around the same time last year and a group of us headed down the coast for a run with him. This Wednesday morn it was just Karen and I. The plan was to do an easy hour but after 30 mins we were close to Kurrawa and so forged on so we could show him where the start of the Kurrawa to Pt Danger race was. It was dead on 6k to that point.

After a quick drink (no champers this day, just water!) we headed back to the start. The 12k took us 1hr 10min, so an average pace of around 5:51 according to the trusty Garmin.

We hit the ocean for a quick dip afterwards, in our running gear :-) The water was surprisingly chilly. Karen and I just waded and hoped the cold water would help the legs recover a little. Plu was brave enough to dive right under a few waves.

A leisurely brekky at the nearby cafe topped off a fantastic start to the day. Its so good to meet up with visiting CRs and catch up on all the goss ..... and maybe even spread a little :-)
